Mail Merge
Mail Merge is the term used to describe the automated process of creating mass mailings using information contained in Move-N. Because the name, mailing address, category, and detailed condition of every person that you could want to contact is already stored in Move-N, you can very easily point-and-click to choose an elegant yet simple filter (a definition of the kind of person that you are looking for) that selects for mail merge only the people who you intend to contact. With Mail Merge you can send personalized letters, announcements, etc. to one or hundreds of contacts in mere seconds.
Mail Merge also manages a library of mail-out letters to assist in the process of corporate mailings. After selecting who is to be contacted, you choose what you would like to send to them from this document library. A customizable mail merge letter is included with Move-N. This template does not contain the actual text of a letter; the text must be composed at the time of mail merge as described under the section entitled Move-N Write. But the template is laid out in standard letter format and already has linked to the appropriate name and address fields from the Move-N data file.
You can create your own mail merge letters quite easily and also integrate them into the Move-N system for speedy reuse the next time you wish to send out a similar letter. Instructions for creating your own letters and integrating them into the Mail Merge library can be found in the section entitled Create Custom Merge Letters.
Finally, Move-N Mail Merge instantly gives you the power to track every mail-out in each selected recipient's contact schedule. Automatic Contact Notes make keeping up with mail-out contact quick and painless for inquiries, residents, and organization contacts. The Contact Notes feature is introduced under the section entitled Features, and discussed further in the section named Mail Merge Correspondence Update.
